Apparently Japanese are not too fond of using condoms. To help change that and raise awareness for condoms, two Japanese authors by the name of Kyosuke Kagami and Opanpon co-wrote a book. Well, what’s so special about that book, you might say now. Have you ever thought about mixing cooking and condoms to create food? Well, I haven’t either and that is what makes it special.
The new condom cookbook goes by the name of tsukutte agetai condomu gohan. The best part of the book is that it’s not just a funny idea but that the recipes are actually doable and easy to make.
But don’t worry, people! You are not going to have to eat condoms from now on. The condom is more used as a cooking utensil. The book contains 11 delicious recipes, all of them use the advantages of the condom (which would be flexibility and durability) to create tasty Japanese food.

While reading some of your favorite Japanese manga you can now chew on some condomy-formed sushi roll. Not a bad way to spend a lazy afternoon.
There is only a few things I wonder about: Are the condoms going to be stored in the cooking section from now on or will they remain in the drug section? And will they start advertising them with “Have safe sex but also have a tasty meal”? And will there be pictures of food be on the wrapping? Will they start producing them not only banana and strawberry flavor but also ginger, sesame and wasabi?
I guess this remains to be seen in the future. Either way, it’s a nice move, Japan!
