Japanese photography enthusiasts seem to be in love with analogue photography. And so are we. The approach towards taking your pictures is much more selective in general. You only have so many chances to capture the perfect image with one film and you have to wait a couple of days to see the results. Ok, you can shorten the waiting time when you decide to develop the pictures yourself and that’s probably what most of these guys do anyway. I didn’t mention film grain, did I? I love it. Seriously. This is what makes analogue pictures so charming and unique. You can’t always predict the outcome. It’s magic.
Thank you for these lovely pictures ayumi, all shot using the wonderful Kodak Portra 400 film with a CONTAX Aria.
